List of Some Civic and Community Activities & Events, Past and Present:
- Volunteer and give contributions as a sponsor to the Jefferson County “Take Yourself and a Loved One to the Doctor Health Fair” each year.
- Volunteered for YMCA Healthy Kids Day Fair and gave donations to the L. L. Melton YMCA.
- Volunteer for “Gift of Life” Breast Cancer” and “Prostrate Cancer” Events every year.
- Volunteered at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church, Antioch Baptist Church, Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church and West Tabernacle Baptist Church Health Fairs.
- Volunteer at Martin L. King Middle School for St. Katherine Drexler Humanitarian Health Fairs.
- Co-sponsored with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.-Alpha Chi Zeta Chapter’s Community Health Fair
- Co-sponsored with West Tabernacle Baptist Church Community Health Fair each year.
- Volunteered at H. E. B. Feast of Sharing
- Co-sponsor with Operation One VOTE, Inc. and other organizations to promote voter education, voter registration, forums, and get out the vote.
- Donate food and money to Some Other Place and donate diapers and funds to the Women's Hope Center.
- Volunteer and donate funds to South East Texas Food Bank and donate money to Beaumont Nutrition Services for Seniors (2015-2021).
- Donate Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets and/or money/gift cards to economically disadvantaged/under resourced families.
- Supported & participated in the Diabetes Expo & Awareness Walk (Dr. Debra Williams) and donated funds and participated in the Diabetes Awareness Walk (Tamica Clark).
- Sponsor an Annual Black, Red, & Green Banquet/Ball Fundraiser each year.
- Sponsor a Back to School Supplies Giveaway to over 1,200 children every August.
- Annual College Scholarships for high school girls in public schools in Beaumont.
- Annual “Second Chance Scholarship” for college education and training for women in the Beaumont Community.
- Pay tribute to an outstanding woman in the community, honor a member of the year in 100+Black Women Coalition of Beaumont, Inc., recognize Unsung Heroes & Heroines and "Young Leaders to Watch."
- “Action of LOVE” - Haiti Project --donated white flat sheets and sent to Haiti in 2010.
- “Action of LOVE” - Malawi Project - Gave contributions to the Be K.I.N.D. to a Student in Malawi. Donated a Desk campaign. A humanitarian service project 2011 and -2012 via Texas Association of Future Educators-TAFE Club at Clifton J. Ozen Media Technology Magnet High School.
- Partnered with National Association of University Women, Operation One VOTE, Inc. and Alpha Chi Zeta, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. to co-sponsor a political forum for local races in April, 2011, May, 2012, October, 2013, and with same groups at a voter education on constitutional amendments and voter registration booth at Beaumont ISD Education Summit in October, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013. and 2014-2019 (added co-sponsors - NAACP, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Ministerial Brotherhood Alliance, Baptist Ministers Union of Beaumont & Vicinity, People’s Political Action Committee, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church and at Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church.
- 100 PLUS GIRLS COALTION OF BEAUMONT (NEW, projected start to be determined.)
- SISTER TO SISTER W & G - Group Discussions with 100+BWC and with 100+BGC. (Projected to start after COVID-19 Pandemic is over)
- Volunteered speakers at Clifton J. Ozen Media & Technology Magnet High School for their Ninth (9th) Grade Initiative Program for Girls.
- Invite speakers in to speak on issues that concern women in general - on health and wellness, finances, services offer to women and children, education, economic development, encourage appreciation for ethnic and cultural heritage, to name a few. We do this to help, improve, empower, inform and educate women. Women from the community and city are invited (free). Some of the topics: HIV-AIDS, Obesity, Women and Finance, Diabetes, Mental Health, Investments, Heart Health-High Blood Pressure, Allergy, Cold, or Flu-which is it?, Living Wills, Life Insurance, CASA-Court appointed Special Advocates for children, Sickle Cell Disease Awareness, Breast Cancer, etc.
- Donated $100 to TOY FEAST (Channel 6) for Salvation Army to help Christmas toys, food, and other needs to families in need.(2012) and (2020)
- Volunteered for CASA of Southeast Texas (April, 2014-2017)
- Donated funds to Salvation Army
- Donated school supplies to Girl’s Havens in August (2013-2014)
- Volunteered and did Voter Registration at Greater South Park Neighborhood Partnership Committee - “A Day in the Park”, September 12, 2015, September 24, 2016, & April, 2018.
- Participate in the Beaumont ISD ROAR program (September, 2017 - Present)
- Mentoring Program at Beaumont ISD Pathways Learning Center (January, 2018- 2019), Odom Academy Middle School (September 2018 - Present) Business Partners
- Volunteer for E J’s Stocking Toy Distribution -give to the less fortunate/under served populations
- Volunteered/- Co-partnered with McDonald’s Restaurant to give away 100 bicycles and helmets to children ages 3-12 years of age
- Voter Registration at Public High Schools in Beaumont ISD
- Volunteer each year in a summer youth STEM program given by Lamar University and Family Help Systems
- Presented a STEM Project and volunteered - Beaumont ISD STEM Night at West Brook High School
- Donate to Jonathan Williams Center for Performing Arts for children and adults (JWCPA)
- Drive-Thru Back-to-School Supplies Giveaway -- Gave over 1,000 back packs of school supplies. 1,000 masks, partnered with Commissioner Bo Alfred, and gave about 60 COVID-19 vaccines, partnered with Army National Guard and SETx Faith & Community Leaders.
- Donated blankets for the homeless and Compassion Hospice.
